🤝 From 26 june to 1 july 2022, TECHMETA Engineering participated to the 14th International Conference on Electron Beam Technologies in Varna, Bulgaria.
➡️ We presented our modified electron beam analyser system, TechScan®, adapted for the analysis of electron beams at the exit of the 90° deflection tool for inside welding.
Our inside welding tool, TechBend®, is suited for the inside welding of 1.3GHz SCRF cavities at Iris as well as Equator position. The iris weldseam is positionned only a few millimeters from the bending tool exit and the equator weldseam at a few centimeters from the bending tool exit.
The current commercial analyser systems use beam deflection for the scan and cannot be used at so short a distance.
Techmeta’s analyser system performs the scan without beam deflection and can assess the quality at the exact weldseam position of the Iris as well as the Equator seam.
➡️ During the conference we also showed sample welds on two halfcells and endpipe, showing the complete agreement between the realised weld beads and the beamshape and density distribution obtained by the analyser system.
➡️ TechScan®, the modified beam analyser system, permits quality assurance of the inside welding tool parameters and permits an industrial approach to SCRF cavity manufacturing.
